HAZEL MILDRED ABERNATHY

Source: Kingman Star, Friday Feb 23, 1912

Little Hazel Mildred Abernathy the six week's old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abernathy, died about 5 o'clock last Thursday morning, Feb 15gh after an illness of one week. Diptheria was the beginning of her sickness, but pneumonia followed, which resulted in death and cast a vast gloom over the home never to be forgotten. But it seems that she was only budded on earth to bloom in Heaven. The family being quarantined and alone makes the cloud for them almost dark as night. She was on earth for just a short time, but so sweet and patient did she bear her suffering until God called her from this world to dwell in the land that never sorrows, "Four of such is the kingdom of Heaven." There were no funeral swervices and the father, with the assistance of C.M. Spencer laid their darling to rest in the Snoddy cemetery.
